**Job Description Summary**: At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years.
We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.
You will work with Sourcing teams to identify opportunity to reduce nonvalue added activities, to standardize and simplify leveraging best practices and lessons learned, still guaranteeing compliance with our policies.
You will support Sourcing Commodities and other Sourcing departments in all compliance related aspect of Procurement activities: PO review, Supplier Onboarding, US Government, Third Party Audit, ITC, Sourcing Instruction and Procedure issue and update.
**Essential Responsibilities**
- Support Lean Activities inside Sourcing: kaizen events, Action Work Out
- Drive standardization and simplification activities
- Spread and strengthen Lean Culture across Sourcing organization
- Be responsible of Procurement Manual that includes guidelines, best practices, recommendations, and mandatory requirements of Procurement process
- Maintain updated Procurement Manual Procedures and will ensure its integration with the Quality Management System (QMS) documents and alignment with GE Aerospace documents
- Issue, review, update QMS documents related to Sourcing activities as needed
- Perform Internal audit to verify compliance of Sourcing personnel practices with Procurement Manual and QMS documentation
- Prepare and keep updated Sourcing Roles training plan together with HR team
- Prepare and provide training on Procurement Manual and Quality Management System to Sourcing personnel
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Master Degree in engineering or technical fields
- Solid experience in Quality/Sourcing areas
- Strong communication (oral and written) skills, Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel skills
- Effective problem solving skills
- Teamwork abilities
- Fluent in English oral and written
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
**Desired Characteristics**
- Knowledge of QMS structure and documents and main aerospace regulation (AS9100, AQAP2310, etc.
)
- Knowledge of Lean principles
