Your impact
Within our Piping Department in the Italy office, we are looking for a Piping Engineer.Main duties include:Develop general piping specifications and job descriptions;Prepare work instructions/procedures /guidelines;Develop piping material specifications for chemical and pharmaceutical projects, both for hygienic and non-hygienic services;Check and perform code calculations according to EN 13480-3 and ASME B31.3.;Select materials and piping components and develop related data sheets according to project requirements;Provide assistance to BIM engineers with input sheets for the 3D Model catalogue creation and update;Coordinate the production of all deliverables in accordance with the Project schedule;Support piping designers on developing Material Take Off extracted from 3D models;Create Piping Scope of Work descriptions for tender;Prepare bid packages and carry out technical bid tabulations / bid analysis of offers received from contractors/vendors;Perform follow-up activities, comment, and approve documentation received from contractors;Represent the project team/group in internal and external meetings, when needed;Contribute to the continuous growth and improvement of productivity and quality;Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing experience is preferred.
Here's what you'll need
Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience is required; Knowledge of workforce planning, scheduling, man-hour estimate, etc.;Knowledge of main international piping codes relevant to the pharmaceutical market;Leadership qualities and effective communication verbal and written skills to communicate with clients, internal and external;Ability to organize and prioritize effectively, balance assigned work;Ability of thinking out of the box to add value and generate optimization ideas;Good presentation and leadership skills;Revamp project experience;Knowledge of ISO Quality Management procedures;Management training/course/certification;Knowledge of Piping systems of Pharmaceutical and Biotech plants is a plus;Fluency in English and Italian.Please submit your resume in English.We know that if we are inclusive, we're more connected, and if we are diverse, we're more creative.
