We are looking for a talented electrical or mechanical engineer to be site-based close to Porto Torres, Italy, to join our operations and maintenance (O&M) team with around 75 megawatts (MW) photovoltaic (PV) in total, including a battery energy storage system (BESS) project.

Your contribution to the energy transition As the O&M Site Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for managing all maintenance and operations activities of the 45 MW Sardinia PV plant (including part of the medium voltage (MV) substation).
The position will report to the O&M Team Leader - Italy.
You can look forward to the following tasks: Manage all site activities in line with the contractual requirements, company policies and procedures, legal framework, and best industry practice.
Be responsible for the implementation of JUWI's health, safety, environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Manage JUWI site team and subcontractors.
Liaise with Owner's representative and Owner's Engineer on site / during their site visits.
Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders, as needed.
Manage (and contribute to) the preventive and corrective maintenance regarding time, cost, and quality.
Manage the spare parts inventory and the procurement of supplies, tools, and parts locally.
Manage the proper investigation and analysis of technical, HSE, or other incidents on site and implement preventive measures.
Perform regular inspections in the PV plant and the MV substation.
Draft all reports (regular and ad-hoc), as per contractual and internal requirements.
Perform stand-by during weekends and public holidays (based on a roster) and contribute to maintenance activities in other nearby PV plants, if needed.
Your energy is required You impress us with these qualifications: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree / bachelor / diploma of technical institute.
At least 5 years' experience in the construction and/or maintenance of PV plants or other power plants.
Working experience of MV/low voltage (LV) substations, including transformers, switchgear, relays, etc.
Good knowledge of HSE procedures and regulations.
Very good IT skills, emphasizing MS Excel.
Ability to remain in control and perform effectively under pressure.
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent team leading and people management skills.
Good administrative and reporting skills.
Good knowledge of the English language (both spoken and written).
Physically fit and able to work in extreme weather conditions.
Experience in the construction, commissioning, or O&M of utility-scale PV plants will be considered a plus.
Experience in working with central PV inverters will be considered a plus.
Willing to work during weekends and public holidays, if needed.
Valid driver's license.
Applicant must be a resident of Sardinia or be willing to relocate there.
