ROLE: Medical Affairs Expert - Primary & Specialty Care Short Role Description / Purpose:Support the Medical Affairs Department in the scientific knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area.
Support in building relationships with key external stakeholders.
Support the advancement and innovation of the products in the assigned therapeutic area.
Collaborate and support the management of the scientific training and medical information activities and support the implementation of Medical Affairs plans and projects in the therapeutic areas of competence.
Interaction with business partners regarding scientific contents, activities and projects.
Long Description: Support the Department, in compliance with ethical standards, professional ethics and law and the internal company procedures, in developing and conduct scientific projects (interventional clinical trials, observational studies and epidemiological studies, proposals for support of independent experimentations, collaboration with scientific societies, working groups , etc.)
that favor the development and innovation of the assigned reference therapeutic area; According to Medical Affairs Director and Medical Manager, support in the generation of new data and publications in the assigned therapeutic areas; According to Medical Affairs Director and Medical Manager, perform literature review, in collaboration with the Medical Information Service, and provide interpretation of clinical study data for Medical Affairs and scientific exchange purpose: presentation and slide deck preparation of the assigned reference therapeutic area; According to Medical Affairs Director and Medical Manager, support realization of territorial scientific projects in the assigned therapeutic areas; According to Medical Affairs Director and Medical Manager, prepare presentations and scientific insights in intercompany contexts; Support Medical Affairs Director and Medical Manager in the development of relations with the scientific community; Support the Regulatory Affairs Dept.
and the Drug Safety Unit from a medical scientific point of view in the assigned reference therapeutic area Support Medical Manager with Marketing Dept.
for the preparation of promotional materials and review, ensuring the compliance of the scientific information with current regulations and in compliance with the defined due date; Support the Medical Affairs Department in the scientific training to ensure proper and effective scientific information to the External Field Force, Corporate staff and Partners; Support the Medical Information Service in answering to medical inquiries ; Participate, on the recommendation of the Medical Affairs Director, at scientific update (conferences or events) by providing feedback on treated scientific themes; Be aware and act in compliance with the relevant law, ethics and regulations and corporate procedures of the reference area; Education: Scientific Degree / MD degree is a nice to have; Technical Expertise: Fluent English; Knowledge of the main productivity and collaboration tools (Google Workspace, MS Office); Knowledge of company product portfolio and excellent knowledge of assigned product(s); In-depth knowledge of the reference pharmaceutical market, trends, products and competitors; Knowledge of National/Regional Authorities and Institutions in the pharmaceutical sector; In-depth knowledge of National and Regional/Local Regulations of the pharmaceutical sector; Regulatory authority and legislation; Knowledge of the requirements of the Code of Conduct and the Farmindustria Guidelines.
