Team Overview & Job Responsibilities Prysmian Group is looking for a Testing & Commissioning Engineer in the Land & Jointing Installation department of the Business Unit Transmission, based in Milano.
The Testing & Commissioning Engineer reports to the Manager of the Land & Jointing Installation function and will be responsible for technical tasks such as writing method statements, providing support to internal and external clients, and being the technical expert for all Testing and Commissioning activities of HV cables.
The Testing & Commissioning Engineer will:
Engineer electrical tests to identify the functionalities of HV submarine cablesEnsure Technical Support & System walk-downs as well as installation verification on-siteManage the test equipment maintenance and functionalityConduct equipment checks and system tests in the field to ensure correct operationExecute HV tests onsiteReview test results and prepare test reports to confirm compliance with technical specificationsProvide inputs during the tender phase to the proposal engineers and other functions regarding testing and commissioning issuesWho are we looking for? Key Requirements A master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or similar degrees.Preferably 2-4 years of previous work experience in electrical testing and commissioning activities within onshore and offshore environmentsFluent in EnglishAvailability to travelExcellent relationship and team working abilitiesProblem-solving, target-oriented, capable of defining and setting priorities.Very good communication skillsFlexibility and adaptability to continuous changeEager to learnPrevious experience with client relationships will be a plusKnowledge and familiarity with basic software (Office suite and Autocad 2D)Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
