JOB DESCRIPTION: Tasks and responsibilities: This role, reporting to the Europe Area Logistics Manager, will coordinatenational and international shipments for all Product Service Lines in compliance with company policies, procedures and local laws.
Supervises a team (4-6 FTE) in Italy and other countries in Mediterranean area that organizes moves for air, ocean, land and hazardous goods in compliance with local and international law. Oversees complete logistics process cycle to include execution of proper documentation for domestic and international movement. Manages the preparation and planning for movements in all modes. Understanding of contracts and Incoterms Develops and implements logistics strategies in line with area and region initiatives Seeks alternative ways to improve the moves and logistics services for the economic benefit of Halliburton Manages compliance with customs formalities in collaboration with broker Manageslogistics providers invoices and approves for payment Completion of SAP processes Profile (education & experience): Requires completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent in Supply Chain or Logistics. Previous experience working within a (Project) Logistics environment for at least 5 to 7 years. Good organisation skills and ability to work within set deadline Good Communication and interpretation skills and used to work in an international environment. Possess a high degree of comfort with using systems to manage processes and the ability to bring flexible alternatives to bear within the methods of the system in an economically sensible manner Knowledge of local customs regulations & requirements, shipping of hazardous material and international shipping required (ADR/IATA / IMDG) Ability to deal with multiple issues and to make decisions on the understanding of the total supply chain process. Experience of SAP preferred Fluent in English and Italian language No "9 to 5" mentality and travel required This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to lead an international logistics team in multiple countries and moving goods around the world to the highest standards of trade compliance and using multiple modes.
