Valuation Actuary

The position focuses on Valuation with direct report into the Head of and constant interaction with the other offices at regional level. This is a role for people who look for international exposure, Italian native speakers with excellent English, both written and spoken. The position in based in Milan.Ideal Background 5-6 years of experience post qualification in the life insurance or reinsurance. LDTI or Solvency II experience in valuation, pricing or process development roles. Experience interacting with multiple teams across time-zones. Among core responsibilities: Produces monthly and quarterly regulatory, US GAAP and tax valuation outputs for the Continental Europe & Middle East Valuation business including audit requirements. Produces US GAAP analysis of the Continental Europe & Middle East Valuation business and provides support to the Continental Europe & Middle East Valuation teams Finance Team. Involved in IBNR analysis for the Continental Europe & Middle East Valuation teams traditional business and the calibration of the lag factors. Performs and improves processes for unmodelled business. Responsible for ensuring data validity andpleteness for valuation purposes. Liaises with the local Finance, Pricing and Administration functions in analysing and understanding results. Liaises with internal teams in the development and application of best estimate assumptions. Maintains valuation policies where required. Provide support and expertise for other projects as required. Contributes to a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the Continental Europe & Middle East Valuation teams, and with other teams. Job ID VA5975
