Join our team in Bari, Italy Partner with the best The focus of this role is to negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies to achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
As a Forging /Machined parts Commodity Manager/Buyer you will be responsible for: Defining supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.Leading negotiations and allocating needs to specific suppliers.Negotiating terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.Managing claims, commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, purchasing activitiesAdvising functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the own field.Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordinating services rendered.Contributing to project as a team member or leads small projects. Work goals typically take 3-6 months to complete and the time horizon for results/impact is typically 2-12 months after the event.Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will need to have:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED)At least 4 years of experience in SourcingMinimum of 3 additional years of experience in Commodity Management.Strong oral, written communication skills both in Italian and English and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to travel around 20% of the job (1-2 days at the time) withing ItalyGood leadership skills, ability to influence others and lead small teams.Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.Effective problem identification and solution skills.Proven analytical and organizational ability.Working with us Our people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
