Description: Job Title: M&A Analyst Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience Reports To: Head of M&A Location: Lyon Education: Graduate degree level, or above in finance or similar Language: English, Italian [Intermediate level] and French [Advanced] Key Stakeholders: Onboarding Team, Finance Team, Business Development & Strategy Director, External Advisors Scope of the position: We have exciting plans to further expand our operations. This is a new position, and we are currently recruiting to our Merger & Acquisition team. In this position, you will report directly to the Head of M&A and your main scope of work relates to supporting the M&A Managers in the sourcing, execution, and post-closing activities of the acquisitions AniCura is undertaking. You will work independently on a large number of tasks related to the acquisition process from start to end.
Sourcing:Conduct strategic market analysis.Profile individual clinics.Provide overviews of the veterinary industry.Proposals:Analyze qualitative and quantitative data of potential acquisitions.Develop financial and valuation models.Create investment proposals for internal governance.Deal Execution:Coordinate due diligence processes.Assess and incorporate due diligence outcomes.Update financial and valuation models.Post Signing/Closing:Coordinate signing and closing activities.Support clinic handover to AniCura functions.Liaise with other departments for post-acquisition integration.General Support:Assist headquarters with M&A department management tasks.In addition to the M&A process, the M&A Analyst can get involved in greenfield projects and other business development activities as well as certain strategic analyses.
Who you are: You have strong financial analysis skills and the capacity to maintain direct relationships with stakeholders and the ability to translate business strategic directions into pragmatic action plans. Furthermore, you bring: Proven track record as a top performer.2-6 years in Audit, Transaction Services, M&A, or similar.2-6 years work experience in a finance/accounting role.Advanced modeling and financial analysis skills.Ability to maintain relationships with sellers' teams and advisors.Strong commitment to ethical conduct.High ownership and ability to work independently on diverse tasks.Action-oriented with keen business acumen.Other words that come to mind: Drive for results, down to earth, collaborative, solution-oriented, dealing with ambiguity, priority setting, ownership.
