The role
The Brand Marketing Manager, reporting to our Head of Marketing, will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to enhance brand visibility and loyalty among fans. This role will focus on creating innovative marketing and branding campaigns for the marketing team to drive fan engagement and retention.
Responsibilities
Brand Strategy Development:
Design and implement a comprehensive brand marketing strategy that aligns with the club's goals and objectives.
Collaborate with creative team to ideate campaigns based on business objectives, and then execute on overarching brand campaigns for the club and seasonal campaigns (ie. ticketing campaigns, holiday campaigns, family-oriented marketing campaigns) to ensure overall alignment with the brand.
Develop and execute brand activation plans to enhance market penetration and customer engagement, including leading the creation and execution of innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse audience segments.
Manage overall B2C marketing strategies including (consumer & ticketing, product marketing - Meet & Greet and Beer & Cheer)
Create and manage brand partnerships and ambassador relationships to build innovative and commercially attractive experiences.
Collaborate with the other relevant team members in the development and management of the club's loyalty programs, including memberships, VIP programs, and fan clubs.
Introduce data-driven marketing approaches to enhance fan experience and engagement.
Monitor and report on the performance of loyalty programs, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Ensure stadium facilities and materials are reflective of the brand promise, working across various internal teams.
Conduct market research to understand fan behavior and preferences.
Creative Direction:
Oversee the development of creative content that aligns with the brand's vision and goals.
Ensure high-quality execution of visual and multimedia assets.
Collaborate with external vendors to ensure all marketing and branding assets are on brand and executed with high standards.
Family & Fan Engagement:
Design and implement fan engagement strategies to grow and maintain a loyal fan base, such as a family program, Meet & Greet, Beer & Cheer and other programs that support club revenue growth while enriching the fan experience.
Manage and ensure omnichannel customer journeys across digital touchpoints (social media, website, e-commerce, app) are on brand
Develop and execute high-value fan activation plans to enhance loyalty, engagement and retention, particularly as regards the family segment.
Analyze loyalty program performance and continuously improve based on data-driven insights.
Event Management:
Coordinate with the events team to integrate brand marketing and loyalty initiatives into match days and other events.
Manage special projects and brand activations, ensuring consistent execution with the overall strategy.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in brand marketing, with at least 3 in a leadership role with a focus on sports.
Proven track record in brand management, including managing loyalty programs and fan engagement initiatives.
Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to manage budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Passion for football and a deep understanding of the sports and entertainment industry.
Proficiency in Italian and English.
Strategic thinking and creativity in brand and marketing initiatives.
Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven marketing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Dynamics CRM, and Power BI.
