The Associate Scientist in Early Development is expected to execute scientific studies in support of technical programs as they progress from early development into Phase I/II and Phase III.
The appointee will work in the Early Development and In-process Analytics (ED&IPA) team, within the Drug Substance - Technical R&D unit.

- Build early-on the processes, tools, knowledge and engagement with the global Drug Substance organization (and other functional areas in TRD) to enable effortless phase I product and process development in line with the expectations of the business;

**Basic Qualifications**:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Scientific degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengeneering, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Previous industry or laboratory experience.
- Understanding of molecular biology, gene expression and microbiology
- Hands-on experience with microbial cell culture/fermentation and protein purification
- Fluent spoken /written English
**Preferred Qualifications**:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Experience with industry-standard high throughput screening and automation technologies for small-to-mid scale expression and purification
- Understanding of protein biochemistry and structural biology concepts and techniques
- Understanding of _in-silico_ biopharmaceutical/vaccines product and process design (simulation/modeling; AI/ML)
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and communicate effectively
- Easy social networking/ interfacing
