Duties and responsibilities Pricing Liaise with other departments (particularly the employees of the Business Department) to allow for consideration of all Pricing proposals as well as analysis of current portfoliosTo attend internal committees for Italian partners such as local committees focused on business initiatives, review of experience, etc.To lead the assessment of the conditions for technical feasibility of marketing solutionsTo contribute to build/modify the product offer (contracting, pricing, new guarantees)To check work of junior actuary ensuring that all current and proposed evolutions are in accordance with our Underwriting Policy and any other appropriate internal guidelines and governanceTo accurately apply profitability and stress scenarios tests and check work for accuracyTo collect and analyze market and product statistics, benchmarks, market issuesTo document new pricing and underwriting schedules for sign-off by Actuarial Manager, maintaining table of pricing assumptions by productTo prepare and present Business Plans/Business Committee documents for consideration as part of the internal validation processTo ensure completion of peer reviews & compliance with processes (control cards, etc.)Analysis and Projects To perform client portfolio analysis as required and preparation of client reports and presentationsLiaise with Reserving and Modelling teams to ensure joined-up thinking and a consistent/efficient view from the Actuarial DepartmentTo perform experience analysis and assist with updating of pricing assumptions/assessing pricing adequacyTo contribute to or lead projects as assigned (including tenders)To prepare and contribute to various internal MI presentations and communications as requiredTo supervise/assist/mentor pricing analyst in carrying out analysis and project workPeople First To partner with HR in recruitment and integration of any new joiners - review of CVs, interviewing candidates, coordination and implementation of onboarding, participate in probationary processTo facilitate development of any direct reports - regular feedback, proactive performance management and advocating for knowledge sharingTo assign work to and manage workload of any direct reports - appropriate prioritization of tasks with emphasis on optimizing existing processes where possible and ensuring strong governance and accountability of results produced while balancing the importance of employee wellbeingPerform the duties of senior actuary in diffusing knowledge/information within the Actuarial DepartmentTogether with the Pricing Manager and Branch Manager to lead and build on the continued engagement and motivation of the team enhancing all aspects of our CACI cultureDrive IER Engagement Survey and GTPW providing feedback on results and developing action plans encourage critical thinking and being open to ideas
