EDU Cooling & Lubrication Engineer is to lead the design and delivery of the cooling and lubrication components within Electric Drive Unit EDU.

EDU Cooling and Lubrication commodities are including but are limited to lubricant, coolant, electric oil pump, electric bypass valve, oil cooler, thermal and pressure sensors, oil filter, EV fluids, seals, nozzles, and piping.

The lead engineer is responsible for working in cross-functional teams (design, analysis, manufacturing, validation, purchasing, and suppliers) and delivering all engineering design, verification, and launch activities. The role demands strong technical, commercial, and leadership skills combined with a versatile approach to changing circumstances within programs.
An ability to manage conflicting priorities between programs positively and proactively is a must.
Delivering within the program timeframe with a clear appreciation of quality and cost are critical aspects of the design and release engineer's role.

Key Responsibilities
* To manage product development processes and deliver according to component(s) creation and delivery system (CCDS).
* To lead and coordinate cross-functional CCDS team including purchasing, CAD design, validation, STA, supplier, manufacturing, and service to ensure all APQP deliverables are fulfilled, and status agreed upon by the program team.
* To engage with multiple suppliers to review their component designs, tool designs, and test and validation activities and support them through design, test, validation, and production phases.
* To lead the design direction and decision-making for EDU C&L commodities and report to the Squad Product Owner and the Group Leader.
* To achieve quality, cost, and timing target and deliver functional and attributes requirements.
* To demonstrate precision, control, and integrity for the development of C&L commodities using Evidence-Based Engineering Reports EBER(s).
* To manage and coordinate verification and validation of C&L commodities by Technical Compliance Plan in an Agile scrum framework.
* To manage and own XFMEA analysis for C&L commodities at component, subsystem, and system levels.
* To autonomously lead problem resolution for key technical issues using a problem-solving approach DIMAC.

Skills, experience, and qualifications

Essential:
* Strong team player and can work effectively with a variety of different personalities and cultures.
* Self-driven, self-motivated, and highly organized with positive impact.
* Working knowledge of project management skills.
* Ph.D. in Tribology, Mechanical, Automotive, and Aerospace engineering.
* Deep understanding and experience designing cooling and lubrication systems and components.
* Ability to apply product development processes, tools & techniques ideally in Automotive or Aerospace.
* Knowledge of the management and application of CAD design techniques.
* Experience in the creation of and maintaining XFMEAs.
* Clear understanding of basic GD&T and can apply it to drawings.
* Clear understanding of the Electric Vehicle and EDU subsystems: Inverter, Motor, Transmission
* Clear understanding of system design, verification, and validation principles.
* Ability to understand and review the CFD, FEA, and 1D simulation reports.
* Some travel to support projects and/or suppliers.

Desired
* Experience running CFD and FEA simulations.
* Technical experience in electrified vehicle components/systems design and delivery.
* In-depth knowledge of gears and bearings components and lubrication requirements.
* Understanding of Agile working methods
* Familiar with EBER, RMDV/DOORS/SSCD, DFMEA
* Familiar with PCDS vs4, CCDS, APQP
* Six sigma/ Green Belt
