Responsible for maintaining existing business, soliciting new business, and market analysis to maximize revenues.
This individual solicits through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques.
Most important duties include generating revenue, establishing new accounts, identifying competitor set strengths, developing strategies to best capture available market share, monitoring transient production and pricing, booking meeting/event space, maintaining repeat business, conducting sales presentations, sales calls, site tours, all while keeping quality consistently high.
Contracts and closes group/transient business.
Verifies business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery.
Achieves revenue goals by actively up-selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue.
Provides period reporting to analyze market booking patterns and trends.
Drive customer loyalty by excellence throughout each customer experience.Duties and Responsibilities:Achieving or exceeding individual and sales goalsResponding to group/meeting leads while drilling to capture LNR (negotiated rate) opportunities.Trend marketing to entice and promote location for corporate meetings, receptions, dinners, trainings, retreats, overnight rooms, etc.Prospecting, identifying and securing all corporate business including meetings, trainings, retreats, receptions, LNR and all other aspects of the corporate market.Participates in Professional Membership Organizations to meet new prospects and remain updated with industry information and trends.Inputs data to generate contracts, update client files, and enter information into booking software.Generate updates on transient segment each period to continually analyze transient booking patterns for trends, future need periods and obstacles to achieving goals.Training and empowering sales team members to exercise good judgment to make profitable business decisionsEnsuring that the property is maximizing the use of all Villanova University and local programs (e.g.
CVB's, PAMPI, Networking memberships)Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Formal Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.Specific Job Knowledge:Ability in strategic planning, staff development, marketing, budgeting and analytics to drive measurable results and focus resources on work that will excel revenue growth.Minimum Work Experience:3-5 years of combined sales, leadership, and development experience.Work Skills:Ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Reporting tools.Knowledge and ability to learn technology platforms including PMS, POS, TBD booking software, etc.Equipment Knowledge:PC, General AVPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferred, but experience considered in lieu of a degree.References NeededMinimum Number of References Needed: 3Maximum Number of References Needed: 3Documents needed to complete your application:Required Documents:Cover Letter / Letter of InterestResume / Curriculum VitaeOptional Documents:Letters of Reference (uploaded by applicant)Other Document #J-18808-Ljbffr
