Hitachi Rail STS is seeking a Patent Mechanical Engineer in Napoli, ItalyThe candidate must be comfortable with technical, legal, and administrative tasksHitachi Rail STS is a global provider of rail solutions
Job seniority: entry level
Responsibilities
• Participate in research and development activities for mechanical engineering• Monitor competitors' activity on new patents and evaluate for possible opposition• Check freedom to operate for novel technical solutions in products• Prepare presentations and technical reports in Italian and English• Scout new ideas and participate in the patent application process
Requirements
• Very good ability in Italian and English writing• Ability to comprehend English technical documents• Proficiency in PowerPoint and other Office Automation tools• Basic knowledge and use of CAD tools• Fluency in human interaction• Willingness to travel abroad (Europe - Far East)• Knowledge of patent related procedures and simulation tools is preferred• Work experience in structured companies is preferred• Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering• English knowledge at Level C1 or above, German and French knowledge are preferable
Key Skills Needed
• Italian and English writing• Fast reading comprehension of English technical documents• Preparation of presentations using PowerPoint• Use of Office Automation tools (Word, Excel, ...)• Basic knowledge and use of CAD tools• Fluency in human interaction
