Our client company is the Italian subsidiary of the world's largest group involved in Defence and Space for the government of the United Arab Emirates. Established in 2019, the company specializes in aerospace innovation, covering every aspect from production to research, with a focus on innovative systems and aircraft for all types of aerial mobility.

We are looking for the role of FLIGHT TEST ORGANIZATION MANAGER who will hierarchically depend on the Operations but will also have a functional dependence on the HDO. In addition, the FTO is to be considered a DO branch.

Key Responsibilities Strategy and DevelopmentImplement and take under proper control all activities concurring with the definition, development and demonstration of the specific Certification within the framework to effectively achieve Design Organization Approval functional, performance and regulatory requirements. General and Task ManagementDevelop and oversee comprehensive flight test plans, ensuring that all test activities align with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives. This includes identifying test requirements and coordinating with various departments to facilitate smooth execution.Ensure that all flight-testing operations adhere to European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations. This involves preparing necessary documentation for regulatory approvals and maintaining compliance throughout the testing process.Manage and lead the flight test team, including engineers and support staff. Establish clear roles and responsibilities, ensuring that all team members are qualified and experienced in their respective roles.Implement and maintain a Safety Management System (SMS) to identify and mitigate risks associated with flight testing. This includes developing safety protocols and ensuring that all personnel are trained in safety procedures.Analyze flight test data and prepare detailed reports that summarize findings, compliance with test objectives, and any recommendations for improvements. Present these results to stakeholders and management.Promote best practices in flight testing and contribute to the ongoing improvement of testing methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and safety.Work closely with the Accountable Manager to ensure that necessary resources are available for flight testing activities and that risks are communicated effectively. People ManagementManage and lead the flight test team, including engineers and support staff. Establish clear roles and responsibilities, ensuring that all team members are qualified and experienced in their respective roles.Facilitate effective communication between design, airworthiness, maintenance, and flight test operations. This is crucial for integrating test results into the product development lifecycle and ensuring a holistic approach to safety and risk management. RequirementsMaster of Science Degree in Engineering (Aerospace preferred).Advanced skills in Flight Mechanics.At least 3 years of experience in flight test activities.In-depth knowledge of EASA "Certification Specification" standards.Experience in flight testing of rotary wing aircraft will be considered an asset.Structured mindset and high sense of responsibility.Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
