The role: We seek an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Claims Domain, a collection of small sized teams within Prima. Software Engineers of the Claims Domain are currently tasked with maintenance of the established claim management platform we have in Italy, while working on an exciting new platform that will enable Prima to rapidly bring internal claim management to further markets. This involves: -Providing our Claim Handlers with a low friction, highly automated claim handling experience -Providing secure and legally compliant integrations with regulatory entities and all other third parties involved in claim handling The guiding principles of the Claims domain are: -Enabling fast scaling of our internal claim management platform to new countries -Reducing our Loss Adjustment Expenses -Rendering the claim management experience as serene as possible for Prima's customers -Feeding high quality claim data back into our pricing engine, ensuring that Prima stays highly competitive Prima is a tech company first and foremost. You won't have to balance it with too many meetings.Collaboration with the design system team to evolve our design system.Close collaboration with UI/UX designersParticipation in our internal frontend community of practice (one of many), which can help you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in frontend technologies, tools, and frameworks, and will allow you to drive their adoption when appropriate.Conducting code reviews, providing constructive feedback.Pair programming.Collaboration with product managers and engineering managers to negotiate scope and ensure reliable, continuous delivery.Learning from your colleagues and, likewise, teaching - we take continuous learning seriously.RequirementsProven experience as a Senior Frontend Engineer or analogous role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality frontend solutions.Experience with React and experience or willingness to learn and master Elm.Experience with agile development methodologies.Knowledge of functional programming paradigms.Knowledge of modern CSS.Mature approach to testing (bonus points for TDD experience).Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, design systems and a keen eye for detail in design implementation.Strong English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams (negotiation, pairing, mentorship, technical writing...)Experience with the following skills is also greatly appreciated:Knowledge of micro frontendsDDD.Continuous delivery.Security.Contributions to open-source projects, blog posts, and overall participation in the development community are valued.
