Its innovative and reliable solutions have been part of more than 1,600 reference projects worldwide.Find out more about HZI at Job DescriptionYour responsibilitiesTo develop process engineering of a given service project, in compliance with deadlines and technical specifications such as, among others:Development of Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)Sizing of static and rotating equipment, sizing of control and pressure safety valves and production of related technical documentationHeat and Material Balance and Process simulation is an advantageTechnical evaluation and comparison of suppliers' offersParticipation in safety studies and reviewsSupport to the commissioning with control optimizations and participation to plant performance testAwareness of the HSE requirements relevant to the process, and implements and complies with themPreparation of the required procedural documents such as designs, balance sheets and data sheets for quotation and optimization projectsDefinition of technical guarantees, assessment of risks or definition of measures for guarantees that are outside the standardEnsures that the implementation of the process engineering in the project complies with the basic concept and the HZI instructions and guidelinesPreparation of the operating manual or the supplement for conversionsPreparation of technical documents for the procurement of various systemsProcess specifications for planning and construction and verification of correct implementationPreparation of the technical inquiry documents for system inquiries based on the customer tender for quotation and conversion projects and technical and commercial examination of the requested offersConducting technical meetings during procurement negotiationsPlant analyses, studies and concept development to optimize plant availability, energy and equipment consumption or to increase the performance of a plantPreparation of project-specific documentationCarrying out and supporting official inspections and tests on the construction siteQualificationsYour experiencesJob specific qualification:Safety and customer orientedIndustry experience (Oil & Gas/Energy sector/Energy from Waste/Renewable Energies/Chemistry)High Degree of autonomy in the management, development, communication and responsibility for complex systemsKnowledge in development and optimization of systems and specifications including cost awarenessExperience in collaborating with international project teams is an advantageIndependent concept development of different process sections for Energy from Waste (EfW) and Industrial Plants applications is an advantageCapable of analysing design features of various OEM technologies, conceiving competitive concept and basics of enhancement and optimisation solutions, including defining levels of guaranteed performancesIndependent process handling in various stages of the work proceduresGood process knowledge of all HZI systems is an advantageGood, detailed knowledge of process engineering, plant automation, process functions and layout/construction technical features of Waste to Energy plant system is an advantageCan convince internal and external contact personsSelects solutions and represents them internally and externallyOperational knowledge (commissioning experience) and comprehensive overall plant knowledge is an advantageCompetence in working methods:Hands-on mentality with the ability to work well under pressureGood effective decision-making and problem-solving skillsIntegrative thinking and ability to manage complex and challenging situations/matters to achieve the best outcomeSelf-driven and solution-orientedOpen minded personality with good communication skillsSound knowledge of engineering tools and process methodologyVery good MS-Office user knowledge, especially Excel user knowledge (pivot, macros etc.
