We are a unique, fast-growing, and trusted team focused on quickly and economically designing, building, launching, and operating state-of-the-art satellites for advanced mission constellations.As mechanical engineer , the candidate will join a collaborative team to develop innovative nano-satellite vehicle solutions for multiple projects. The individual will be responsible for hardware development during all phases of a development cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, test, integration, and documentation in a fast-paced environment.It is expected that the individual will have an ability and desire to learn, grow, and discover continuously.Specific tasks will include:Working in a small team environment closely with electrical, systems, and launch engineers to develop optimal solutions to complex problemsParticipating in hardware requirements generation, design, implementation, and testing discussions with multiple team membersDevelop assembly procedures, test plans, and fabrication documentationParticipating in team discussions involving vehicle arrangement and design for ongoing and future projectsMaintaining and updating the 3D model databaseIdentifying appropriate materials and chemical coatings for spacecraft partsWorking in both an office and lab environmentNOTE: Vacancy is expected to be filled in no more than 30 calendar days from the completion of the hiring process.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesBS or MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent degree required2+ years of experience in the roleStrong mechanical backgroundAbility in working with solid modeling software and FEA (SolidWorks, Femap)Knowledgeable and proficient in applying advanced engineering principlesQuick to grasp abstract problems and creative in visualizing solutionsProductive in craftsmanship and attentive to detailAbility to document complex designs and procedures with attention to detailGood communication with team members, and ability to provide and receive constructive criticismAbility to work with flight hardware in a controlled environmentAbility to use precision inspection equipment, i.e. micrometers, indicators, (usually acquired by machining or other precision hands-on experience)Proficient use of written and oral English language is mandatoryBenefitSalary and benefits are EU market competitive and include Welfare, Benefits, Private Insurance, Flexible working Hours.About Tyvak InternationalTyvak is one of the most experienced small satellite groups in the industry with unique experience and capabilities in the development of nanosatellite missions and advanced technologies. www.tyvak.euThe main company office is located in Torino, Italy.Work EnvironmentThe job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company.
