Transmission Line Tower Structure Design Engineer Location: Europe (Remote Working) The Transmission Line Tower Structure Design Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing transmission line towers for high voltage power systems.
This includes ensuring that designs are safe costeffective and meet all necessary standards.
Key Responsibilities: Design and Analysis: Independently complete the structural design of transmission lines up to 420 kV.
Design transmission line towers (lattice tubular steel monopoles) for different voltages.
Perform structural analysis using design software (e.g.
PLSTOWER PLSCADD).
Account for various loads like wind and ice.
Ensure designs follow industry standards and regulations.
Stay updated on relevant design codes (e.g.
ASCE NESC).
Create design calculations drawings and specifications.
Work with drafting teams to produce construction drawings.
Provide technical support during project .
Assist with project schedules cost estimates and material specifications.
Work with other engineers and teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
Participate in design review meetings.
SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING Education: Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience in transmission line tower design or similar roles.
Experience in PLS TOWER and transmission line engineering Proficiency in design software (e.g.
PLSTOWER SAP2000).
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
