Commodity Leader

Principle Accountabilities:Leading relevant purchasing results by challenging performance targets at regional/commodity level being responsible for the portfolio of the sourcing categories assigned.Specific responsibilities include development of category strategies: supplier selection and establishment/maintenance of supplier relationships, spend analysis, contract discussion, negotiation, supply base reduction and optimization, identification of cost saving opportunities, facilitating and leading sourcing projects, risk analysis and management.Main Responsibilities:Execute sourcing activities according to the set strategy: screening for suppliers, evaluation of suppliers, definition of supplier portfolioCommunicate effectively and manage relationships aligning key stakeholders at European level on sourcing strategiesMonitor the market through constant benchmarking in order to continuously improve costs, quality and technologyImplement commodity strategies for spend categories and undertake regular review on their effectivenessPerform cost breakdown analysisNegotiate prices and contracts with suppliers in the defined perimeter and manage execution of contracts to optimize company's competitive positionSupport the European purchasing manager in defining the best action plan and corrective plan to realize regional targetsEstablish and maintain supplier relationships, and facilitate periodic business reviews to continually identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunitiesBuild strong relationships with strategic suppliers to avoid any conflict or potential risk on the supply continuity, supplier rating and risk managementSet up with the purchasing product development team collaborative procedures to strong effectiveness and efficiency towards the Product Development/Engineering and Supply Chain/Production processesEstablish performance-based contracts, KPI's and monitor implementation and complianceFull accountability for ensuring materials availability and suppliers capacityLead and manage local buyers to reach all the targetsFoster people's engagement and motivationJob Profile Qualifications, Knowledge:5-7 years of sourcing experience in direct materials categoriesProven ability to manage teams and multicultural collaborationSignificant expertise being part of the Purchasing team within different Companies and contextsProven skills in contract negotiation and supplier relationship managementStrength in meeting or exceeding project milestones and deliverables, while multitasking and prioritizingSkills, Capabilities, Competencies:Excellent LeadershipAgility and speed of reaction at the base of problem solving, communication, and influencing skills within a matrix environmentAbility to establish supplier specifications in conjunction with subject experts, measure and drive conformance to specifications, and manage internal and supplier relationships to achieve desired resultsAbility to provide fact-based strategy and sourcing recommendationsWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer, we reject and condemn any form of discrimination including discrimination based on age, gender, sexual orientation, health, race, nationality, cultural background, political opinions and religious beliefs, and membership of associations and trade unions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
