Strategic Buyer

Dematic is looking for a talented Strategic Buyer for Customer Service to be hired with a permanent contract, for its premises in Cernusco Sul Naviglio.
He/She will be responsible for supporting procurement activities and objectives within a factory environment and will collaborate with our Customer Service team in order to ensure the prompt delivery of qualitative products.
**What we offer:**:The **Strategic Buyer for Customer Service **is going to**:
- Procure direct material such as spare parts for Customer Service (i.e., metal fabricated parts, controls/electrical and electronic components, wires, cables and mechanical components)
- Participate and facilitate in spare part quote activities involving pricing reviews with cross-functional stakeholder team members
- Perform value analysis to identify and drive cost reduction initiatives and improvements
- Make sourcing arrangements and determine optimal quality, lead time and pricing for Customer Service requirements
- Develop and coordinate set up of new suppliers in collaboration with Category Management
- Forecast, record and update savings achieved and master data to help meet department goals
- Perform complex buying strategies and supplier selection to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of materials
- Strong problem-solving skills are required in order to deal with complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices
- Manage domestic and international project plans and purchasing systems
- Participate on Supplier Audits and preparing Make-or-Buy decisions
**Tasks and Qualifications:**:**Who are we looking for?
**:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business (valid certifications as a procurement professional are preferred)
- At least **3 **years **of **experience **in purchasing, manufacturing and projects environment
- Strong knowledge of **SAP **and **EDI **transmission of the procure-to-pay process, including data elements
- 2-3 years of experience with SAP and Blanket Purchase Order with releases is highly desirable
- Ability to implement efficiencies and changes with SAP in order to reduce the number of PO transactions per project
- Knowledge of Office package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to communicate and build relationships both internally and externally with suppliers and customers
- Lean and Continuous Improvement strategy is preferred
- Availability for business **travels **(15% of the time)
- Negotiation abilities is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in **English **and **Italian
