Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to strengthen our operations team in EMEA. You will focus on Physical Testing as part of our Simcenter Customer Support organization, ensuring the technical success of the customers using Simcenter Testing solutions. You will provide technical advice and knowledge to existing customers for product and application related issues and development of understanding of customer business requirements.
About the role An Application Support Engineer is expected to work closely with current and potential customers in order to understand their engineering processes and propose solution methodologies that would create positive business outcomes and help customers meet their test objectives.
Responsibilities Become a dedicated support engineer role for specific accounts with a focus on the Automotive sectorProactively support users in deploying and adopting the Simcenter Testing solutions productsTeam up with the Sales organization in order to find opportunities to expand the installed base and ensure the renewal of maintenance contractsSupport customers remotely as well as on-siteConduct customer visits in Italy and throughout EMEADevelop technical expertise on Siemens Simcenter Test systemsDeliver customers trainings on Simcenter Test productsQualifications University degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical/Aerospace EngineeringBackground and interest in Automotive, Aerospace or Mechanical EngineeringKnowledgeable in the domain of NVH and fatigue testingFluency in English; proficiency in other languages would be an advantageExperience with Simcenter Testing solutions (Simcenter Testlab, Simcenter Testxpress, Simcenter SCADAS Hardware) would be a plusKnowledge of Digital Signal Processing is an assetAbility to manage workload priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent in problem solving and analytical reasoningThriving on customer-focused communicationPositive attitude to mobility is a pre-requisite, as well as valid driving licenseWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
