Unleash your energy within Be a part of the EDC Team Enforce and ensure that all government and company safety regulations and guidelines are being followed properly.
Identify workplace hazards and propose actions to prevent accidents or mitigate the effects of identified risks.
Conduct comprehensive inspections and investigations, writing orders and reports.
Check the appropriateness of protective equipment and ensure employees and workers have everything they need to work safely.
Observe crews at work and report laxity in safety precautions, such as failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, and other safety devices.
Inspect equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure the safety of workers engaged in construction.
Inspect safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and tools, requiring replacement of those not meeting safety requirements.
Inspect the availability and operability of safety tools and equipment of the contractor.
Coordinate with the contractor to ensure good housekeeping and high standards of safety in the workplace at all times.
Promote adherence to and support all company safety, security, and environmental rules, policies, and procedures with a zero-tolerance mentality.
Provide technical safety support for construction activities and ensure that all work is performed with methodology conforming to safety standards, approved manuals, internal policies, and procedures.
Attend and participate in contractor's tool box and sub-committee meetings. Drive EDC's Good Catch program.
Work with the HSE Manager to make immediate investigations of accidents/incidents and report findings and recommendations to the Construction Manager.
Perform other duties and safety-related functions as necessary to ensure an accident-free workplace.
