Technically coordinates the work performance of lower ranking local national and military personnel who participate in performing storage planning functions during the receipt, storage, re-warehousing, shipment, preparation of outgoing shipments and preparation for inspection of the above items.
Provides authoritative advice to lower ranking action officers of organizational elements which are involved in matters pertaining to ammunition storage planning and implementing ammunition storage and movement plans.
Plans for the availability of tools, equipment, protective clothing and equipment and expendable supplies, and ensures material and vehicles used for daily work operations are properly functioning and meet prescribed standards.
Coordinates storage planning activities with other depot elements to ensure timely availability of manpower, equipment and to adhere to established safety and security requirements.
Coordinates the timely preparation of informal and formal ammunition condition reports with quality assurance personnel.
Ensures adherence to an even flow and distribution of work, detailed understanding of work requirements, and ensures meeting of schedules and deadlines.
Recommends revision of schedules to meet changes in workload priorities, considering such factors as peak workloads, availability of manpower and processing time requirements, and assures accomplishment of assigned workload.
Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures, and gives special instructions on difficult and unprecedented operations to military personnel and lower-level local national employees of other staff elements supporting storage planning activities.
Instructs assigned employees on safety and operational matters and provides on-the-job training to newly assigned military personnel.
Operates SDS workstation and other automated ammunition support systems.
Operates a Handheld Terminal Scanner, Terminal printer, and Portable 2D barcode scanner system and enter data into the automated data processing system.
Identifies software errors and reports them to the supervisor.
Assists in revision of SOP's for receiving, storage and shipment.
Prepares and/or collects data and information for drawings, specifications, flow charts, line layouts related to munitions, listing all equipment, and safety/environmental requirements.
Prepares report of total cost of re-warehousing activities, tonnage handled, and man-hours expended and consumed.
Studies and interprets general policies, directives, technical manuals and instructions from higher authority pertaining to ammunition activities.
Prepares work orders for the preparation of required blocking, bracing and other mission related materials.
Participates in planning, implementing and monitoring of all conventional ammunition receipts, shipment and storage.
Participates in studies involving mobilization and contingency planning, ammunition support for training and war reserve stocks .
Uses keyboard or Personal Data Collection Device to enter transactions, such as receipt processing, shipment processing, etc.
Uses various menus and screens to enter, retrieve and/or manipulated ammunition information from display or direct input selection; inquiry input information screens for instructions or explanations; or uses interactive screens for data input.
Reviews input and output to verify correctness, applying a thorough knowledge of data to be processed and familiarity with input and output procedures.
Plans and accomplishes inventories of all munitions stocks, managing, coordinating, and controlling requirements, receipt, issue, transfer, location change.
Verifies information provided on customer DA Form 1687.
Accept E581 from Total Ammunition Management Information System.
Disposition of ammunition, turn-in residue, ammunition components and packing materials.
Provides guidance on using automated SAAS and provide technical assistance to customers.
Participates in the planning and coordinating of ammunition inventories to ensure the proper carrying out of the overall inventory functions.
Participates in causative research on stock record balances not agreeing with inventory counts.
Provides detailed comparisons from available information sources to include historical records and SAAS transaction files.
Uses available resources to resolve errors and determines cause of discrepancies and adjustments required to bring stock records into agreement with inventories.
Participates in the preparation of various ammunition transaction documents pertaining to stock control functions.
Verify the accuracy of inbound/outbound paperwork.
When required, loads change package, uploads inventory data, runs reports and provides supply technical advice on stock record control operations to co-workers and customers.
Monitors pending receipts/shipments and maintains overall operational awareness of activities within the ASP/TSA.
Responsible, under the direction of the SAAS Supervisor, for all stock control procedures and SAAS documentation which includes scheduling reports; archiving files; storage files maintenance; input; and output.
Participates in providing technical assistance in using the various programs to maintain a complete and accurate database.
Maintains hard copy files of supply transactions, voucher numbers, causative research, adjustment documents, documents, document register, and other records related to ASP operations.
Collects data and provides reports as required.
Use various computer operation systems/programs (MS-Windows; MS-Office) to enhance administrative capabilities, and development of unique databases and spreadsheets for management of munitions stocked, issued, and received by the ASP.
Independently manages and directs the operations of his/her assigned area of responsibility.
Works under general supervision of the branch chief, who provides general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and policies, and relies on the incumbent to control work operations and accomplish an adequate quantity and quality of work and remote ammunition work areas Problems relating to ammo operations must be handled by incumbent of the position; changes to standing operation procedures will be communicated to branch chief for inclusionCoordinates the work group's activities with other team leaders to ensure that tasks compliant with mission requirements.
Provides on-the-job training, assigns and reviews work, ensures accomplishment of assigned tasks.
Performs other duties which do not comprise the full range of supervisory or lead functions.
During the phase of record processing, the employee is occasionally required to participate in an on-site inventory of ammunition, to include verification of condition codes, proper location of material and similar pertinent information.
Conducts in-process inventories and prepares or updates magazine data cards, ensuring that data annotated comply with actual status.
Prepares and updates planographs in accordance with procedures outlined in applicable manuals.
Walking, standing, bending, and carrying of ammunition, components and blocking and bracing weighing up to 88 pounds as well as operations of power tools such as chain saws, pneumatic nail guns etc NOTE: Tour of duty is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 07.00 to 16.00, including a 1-hour uncompensated lunch break.
Qualifikationsanforderungen MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet the qualification requirements in the Qualification Standards Handbook as summarized below.
EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of Specialized Experience at UA-05 grade level.
Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant whit the particular knowlwdge, skills, and abilities to perform succesfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Education may be substituted for experience in accordance with the "General Schedule Qualification Standards" published by U.S Office of Personnel Management.
