Within the Digital Operations team, the IT Logistics expert belongs to the End-to-End Supply Chain product line that encompasses two critical areas: Logistics and Planning & Scheduling.
The logistics systems encompass a range of activities, mainly including order processing, inventory and warehouse management, and freight transportation.
The landscape of logistics applications is vast, with SAP ERP serving as the backbone, supplemented by various satellite applications that are interfaced with the ERP.
These include yard and fleet management applications, Transport Management Systems (TMS), and barcode labeling systems.
The IT Logistics expert role is strategic and operational, requiring a blend of technical and functional expertise, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of logistics processes.
He/She will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, continuous improvement, and strategic expansion of our logistics IT landscape.
Key responsibilities of this role: Monitor & Support current Logistics applications: Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issuesSupport End UsersMaintain up-to-date technical and user documentationCoordinate tasks with external providers of managed-servicesDeploy, Enhance and Transform the logistics IT landscape: Identify opportunities to enhance the functionality and performance of existing logistics applicationsProvide technical guidanceRun projects from preparation to deliveryDesign and implement new IT solutionsOptimize the integration between different applicationsIntegrate new applications and/or logistics service providersUpgrade softwaresTo endorse this role, he/she will interact with different key stakeholders: E2E Supply Chain Product Manager & Tech LeadOther Product Lines' members (Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality & EHS, ..)Architects & Cybersecurity leadsSupply Chain Excellence CenterGBU Coordinators/key-usersManaged-services providers (support, development, consulting services)Education and experience Bachelor/master's degree in Information Technology/Information Systems.Proven experience in supply chain softwares and tools, with a keen interest in leveraging technology to improve operations.Skills and behavioural competencies Skills:
Deep knowledge & experience in:SAP Sales and Distribution (SAP SD) + SAP Logistics Execution (SAP LE)Connectivity/Integration between systems (APIs, Middleware, File transfers, ..)Transport Management Systems (TMS)Exposure to Agile methodologyExposure to advanced analytics and reporting/dashboards, data acquisition/managementKnowledge of Export compliance evaluations (ITAR, Dual-use, etc.)
