Finance Manager Job Description: MainStreaming is expanding its business internationally. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Finance Manager to build a high-performing finance function that enables us to reach our business and financial goals. The successful candidate will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, managing the finance team, and ensuring the company's financial health. You will play a key role in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and compliance. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the management team and other departments, especially sales, legal, HR, and marketing.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Oversee the month-end closing process, cash flow management, and bank relationships. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company goals. Audit & Compliance: Manage the audit process and ensure compliance with Italian GAAP and other relevant financial regulations. Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and shareholders, providing insights and recommendations. Process Improvement: Continuously improve and automate financial processes to increase efficiency. Support Growth: Establish a finance function capable of supporting business growth through international expansion across Europe. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the key contact for auditors, banks, and tax advisors. Collaboration: Work closely with sales, legal, HR, and marketing departments and the management team to support overall business objectives. Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Qualifications: Education: Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. Experience: Proven track record of building and improving finance functions, ideally with B2B experience in the technology sector. Experience in a VC/PE backed company is a plus. Knowledge: Strong understanding of Italian GAAP and tax regulations, experience with SAP finance modules (or any comparable accounting and reporting tool), cash flow management. Skills: Financial modeling and analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. High proficiency in financial software and tools. Adaptability, resilience, and ability to work under pressure. Competencies: Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead a team. Integrity: Trustworthy, honest, and transparent in all dealings. Continuous Improvement: Motivation to continuously learn, grow, and improve processes. Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
