Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Cloud Application Architect with a focus on Microservices, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their digital transformation journey and tackle complex challenges. You will set the direction and scope for projects that deliver bespoke solutions, using your comprehensive knowledge of Cloud and microservices architecture.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Constructing and maintaining DevSecOps within microservices and Hybrid Cloud structures
- Serving as the organization's point of contact for Cloud and microservices solutions and delivery and nurturing Cloud and microservices capabilities across the Team
- Guiding both local and remote teams of architects and developers in the solution delivery and governance
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Over 7 years of experience in IT services across diverse sectors
- At least 5 years of experience acting as an Architect in a major public cloud, Digital transformation platform/products/services
- Cloud Solution Architect certification (AWS/Azure/Google/RH)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Solid experience on Public clients/projects
- Preferred certification in Enterprise Architecture frameworks, like TOGAF or equivalent
