Welding Engineer

to join Koch Glitsch in Aprilia (Italy).
What You Will Do We are seeking a specialist to oversee all welding, NDT and quality control related activities for the KES Aprilia factory.
This role combines hands-on welding work and Project Quality management activities with higher-level administrative and technical responsibilities.
This person will be responsible for managing welding procedures, supervising the welding team including providing consulting services, coordinating multiple projects, and overseeing the welding procedure.
As Quality Project Manager, he will take care to review quality specifications and prepare Inspection Test Plan and all related project quality documents.
Work closely with the engineering and production department to ensure product compliance with the customer's purchase order.
Develop & manage welding procedures & processes (WPS/PQR) including all associated laboratory destructive testing.
Define & prepare welding book for each project & product.
Develop & manage NDT procedures & processes.
Responsible for all quality aspects of assigned projects, determine and define quality requirements, maintain and complete project records.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) International Certification in Welding (lWT, IWE, CWSIP, AWS, CWI, etc.)
Extensive experience in Welding department and/or quality department.
Knowledge of international Codes such as ASME, GB, AWS, ISO etc.
Knowledge of NDT.
Knowledge of ISO quality management system.
Courage to lead and take ownership.
Effective communication skills and relationship management.
Fluent in English and Italian.
Decision making and analytical capability.

Focused, target driven with a positive can-do attitude.
What Will Put You Ahead Certification auditor of management system (ISO 19011).
Experience in fabrication, welding & control for steel structures, sheet metal, pipes.
