Our team has experience scaling billion dollar tech start-ups and building energy companies, as well as deep specialisms in the energy markets.You will learn from and work with a bunch of fun, curious, and entrepreneurial people who really want to make an impact.Together, we will show that batteries are a totally viable part of our energy infrastructure - now , not in some distant future.We have ambitious plans to become the defining new clean energy player in Europe over the next few years, gradually expanding beyond batteries into new asset types.Overview Field's Italian office in Rome is looking for a Real estate manager to work side-by-side with the Lead of Project Development of Field Italia and the Land acquisition specialist to manage the origination and validation of land opportunities for battery storage assets in Italy.You'll join a team that is strongly committed to making a difference in developing, financing, building and operating the assets we need to protect our climate and the environment.The role The Real estate manager is a crucial and dynamic role responsible to scout, analyse, negotiate and sign new land deals for successful development and construction of the storage projects.We are growing rapidly and so will your responsibilities, so this is not an exhaustive list.
There will always be room to learn.Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, especially in the near term : Mapping interesting areas, in order to find landowners in assigned locations Visit the identified areas to study the context and connect with local stakeholders Meeting landowners, negotiating and accommodate signing land agreements for lease (DDS) or purchase Interact with local scouts or agencies, and ensure the transactions are cost-effective as well as fast and without unnecessary liabilities for Field Manage and expand an external land scouts' network to help and accelerate the growth Carry out an accurate analysis of the Italian market regarding prices in the area and in particular on the value of agricultural land Prepare the necessary documentation for the greenfield origination process in the project development space Collaborate with internal and external players for land assessment and budgeting the opportunity Work in close coordination with the UK team, to ensure consistency across the group wherever relevant.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseA bit about you you're an open, clear communicator who enjoys working collaboratively you demonstrate great attention to detail - your drafting is plain and precise, embedding well through commercial principles you're very organised - you'll be spinning a few plates at once, so you'll need to have tried and tested methods for keeping on top of a varied workload at your fingertips you're excellent at building working relationships - we are business partners and need to work closely with all teams you like to engage with people face to face, creating positive relationships with landowners and land scouts, to close deals fast and effectively Experience and skills we look for : degree in urban planning, architecture, geology or agronomy 3 / 5+ years of experience in the land acquisition and real estate space, focus on renewable energy as a plus good knowledge and understanding of the Italian land market passion for the renewables sector and being part of a purpose-driven business excellent communication and negotiation skills simple and straightforward style when advising internal stakeholders attention to detail proactive, problem solving and empathic with landowners ability to manage competing priorities, whilst maintaining the quality of advice and a good work-life balance fluent and confident with both written and spoken English and Italian self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment availability for frequent trips in Italy, also at short notice Benefits We're offering a competitive compensation package, including an employee share scheme which rewards all employees for the growth of the business.Other benefits include: Up to 10% company wide bonus based on company performance Smart working patterns and a great office in central Rome Green leave - paid time off to do something good for the environment Spill : our mental health benefit allowing every Fielder access to equal and unrestricted therapy and resources €2,000 annual learning & development budget to spend on whatever best supports your growth 1 month a year work from anywhere in the world' policy Regular team socials locally, and international socials bi-annually Lunch vouchers Birthday carbon offset - a gift from Field to the world to celebrate your birthday many more coming soon
