Quantative Analyst

Our client is an Italian company focused on energy management and offers balancing, optimization, and hedging services to renewable energy producers and suppliers.
They are moving energy across 27 countries in Europe and marketing the electricity produced by over 250 power plants.The Quantitative Analyst - Energy Trading is a key team member of the Trading Desk who will work closely with the traders supporting decision processing, data management, and developing sophisticated models to predict market trends.
They are looking for a profile with strong computer skills, attention to detail, a positive professional attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.ResponsibilitiesMonitoring and analysis of price trends and price drivers of the energy commodities on the European marketsDeveloping models to predict energy and gas prices and collecting all energy driversSupporting the decision processProducing reports and analysis for the teamSupport the development of algotrading modelsQualificationsDegree in an analytically-based discipline (i.e.
finance, maths, economics, statistics, engineering) or equivalent experience.
Previous business experience in energy markets as an analyst or quant is not mandatory, but it is preferred.Advanced working knowledge of coding (i.e.
Python, R-studio, Matlab, SQL, or similar)Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel VBA codingExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong analytical and detail-oriented attitude; a high degree of accuracy is requiredAbility to manage time effectively, set priorities, and meet deadlinesAbility to learn and adapt to changeDesire to work successfully in a dynamic environmentFluent in EnglishLocation: Milano #J-18808-Ljbffr
