THE ROLE You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal.
The Artificial and Mechanical Intelligence Research line is coordinated by Daniele Pucci. The research combines theoretical investigations with real-time practical implementation on real hardware and embedded electronics. This includes improving the state of art in wearables for physical human-robot interaction, telexistence technologies, and human biomechanics analysis.
We are seeking to appoint a full-time engineer interested in the general topic of Embedded Systems Designer for wearable systems. The focus of the job is to develop micro-controlled hardware, firmware, and low-level software.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Master's degree in one of the following areas: robotics, software engineering, electronic engineering, biomedical engineering, wearable robotics, or any other related field to electronics or robotics;Outstanding or very good academic track record;Creative, proactive, and collaborative attitude;Good command of spoken and written English.ADDITIONAL SKILLS Experience with electronic embedded systems;Experience with Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) design;Experience with hardware electronics development tools (e.g., PADS, Altium Designer, Eagle);Experience with programming languages (C, C++), and middlewares (e.g., YARP, ROS);Experience with GitHub or other code versioning tools;Ability to work in a challenging and international environment;Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment;Possess Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindset.COMPENSATION PACKAGE Competitive salary package;Private health care coverage depending on your role and contract;Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.Please submit your application using the online form and including a detailed CV, university transcripts, a list of (eventual) publications/projects, cover letter, and contact details of 2 references.
