We're looking for an EHS Specialist in Reggio Emilia.Under the direction of the EHS Manager, the candidate will be in charge of all EHS topics and ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 procedures and development.
The role includes collaboration in hazard identification, risk assessment, and EHS measures implementation to continuously improve the work environment, machines/equipment, utilities, production flow, and sustainability.Main Opportunities and Challenges:A dynamic working environment with opportunities for discussion with the EHS Italian team through best practices sharing, corporate cross-checking, and cross-cutting projects.
The resource will be placed in a multiplant context with opportunities for growth.Main ResponsibilitiesDefinition of plant guidelines and policies for EHS and Sustainability topics.Hazard identification, risk assessment, and implementation of measures for health and safety in the working environment to minimize environmental impact, in compliance with applicable laws.Development and maintenance of the Health, Safety, and Environment Management System, certified to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.Ensure these Systems undergo periodic audits for continuous performance improvement.Analyze applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and drive their implementation.Collaborate with technical departments to define prevention and protection measures.Identify personal protection devices based on risk assessments.Propose workers' information and training programs, cooperating in organization and distribution.Ensure suitable medical and paramedical supervision for plant needs.Ensure collection of sustainability, safety, health, and environment KPIs in line with defined methods and tools, providing analysis processing.Support the Maintenance Team in regulatory equipment inspection and energy management to identify and implement sustainability projects.Manage external contractors.Utilize external professionals as needed for prevention and protection actions (e.g., environmental measurements).Ensure proper classification, identification, storage, and management of waste for appropriate disposal.Job Position RequirementsProfessional Background:At least 5 years of experience in structured, continuous improvement-oriented industrial settings.Experience in the metal industry is a plus.Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, mainly Excel.Considered a Plus:Dynamism, personal initiative, and willingness for continuous improvement.High analytical, planning, and goal-oriented skills.Excellent relational and negotiating skills, with a marked openness to sharing and confrontation.Good tendency to teamwork.
