We are looking for a proficient and driven Batch Scheduler Operations Specialist to become a vital member of our enthusiastic team.Your job in a nutshell:As a Senior Batch Scheduler Operations Specialist, you will have the responsibility to maintain the Workload Scheduler application lifecycle, by installing, configuring, and updating existing and new Workload Scheduler applications, as well as reviewing and proposing improvements to the current infrastructure architecture and how it integrates with the Operating System and other technologies, on a hybrid environment.
You'll also be responsible for supporting business users, translating functional requirements into technical and actionable work.What will you be doing:Support business users with scheduling tasks and job workflows within the Workload Scheduler applicationManage the installation, configuration, and updates of existing and new Workload Scheduler applicationsEnsure tasks and job workflows are properly maintained and run at scheduled timesCreate documentation on Workload Scheduler configurations and operational proceduresMonitor system performance, track task execution, and diagnose any issues or failuresRespond to performance problems or any issues that may arise within the Workload Scheduler system and take necessary actions to resolve them effectivelyWork with product or platform teams to ensure good coordination of IT changes without impacting business processesEnsure the delivery of efficient and secure IT operations, support IT systems that fulfil the needs of the business, and provide input to the development team and tech lead as well as to peers responsible for other aspects of operationsWork on optimizing system performance by adjusting configurations and parameters to enhance task processing and reduce execution timesMaintain the Workload Scheduler infrastructure lifecyclePropose improvements to the current infrastructure architecture and its integrations to the Operating Systems or other technologiesWork on optimizing costs with running the Workload Scheduler solution in a cloud environmentParticipate in the assessment of other technology capabilities with a focus on suitability for integration with the existing IT operations environment.What will make you successful:Proficiency in configuring and administering Workload Scheduler components, and agents running on a hybrid environmentStrong understanding of job scheduling concepts, dependencies, and tasks running in SAP systemsDemonstrated experience in disaster recovery procedures for restoring Workload Scheduler servicesAbility to work with Agile methodologiesEffective English communication skills (written and verbal) to clearly communicate across the organizationVery good communication skillsInitiative and good learning abilitiesRoot Cause Analysis mindsetScripting skills would be considered an asset.We are Nestlé, the largest food and beverage company.
