Partner with the best The String Testing Mechanical Design Engineer oversees the mechanical and piping design activity for assigned projects inside the String Test cell. In the daily work He/she deliver (execute and control) project documentation, drawings/specifications, relative to: P&ID definition; plant system mechanical layouts; piping design; structure design.
In is mission He/She is also responsible to participate in #Decarbonization initiatives following programs with partner University and to promote #Digitalization & #Improvement of test methodology, processes, and procedures.
As String Testing Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
Executing string test design (thermodynamic and mechanical) for turbo-compressors, electric motor-compressor, and turbo-generator packages: such as conceptual P&ID diagrams, thermodynamic verification with Company tools, piping design according ASME code (including stress analysis), supporting structure design and verification.Formulating functional purchase specifications/data sheet of mechanical system items (such as cooler, valves, …) and be accountable for technical alignment closure with material supplier.Managing external contractor work and assuring that technical documentation is issued according to project planning schedule.Assuring that Lesson Learned are captured in the assigned design.Providing technical assistance on test field during plant erection.Participating on assigned team groups to address organizational / improvement initiatives and act as owner /presenter in technical reviews.Supporting de-carbonization roadmap of String Test cell with reference to Mechanical system integration both with test facility and national grid lines. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:
Have a degree in Engineering subjects, Energetic, Mechanical, Structural are preferred and relatable work experience.Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skillsShow ability to manage and oversees multiple projects/activities with high intensityShow ability to plan and lead cross functional programs.Be an experienced problem solver, with analytical approach identifying root causes and implementing improvements solutionsDisplay a good knowledge of Mechanical System integration in turbomachinery plants and commissioning operations.Be fluent in English and Italian languages and be able to work in EU Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
