We are seeking a newly qualified Accountant to join our fast growing Italian office based in Florence.
This would be an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant that wishes to move and progress within industry.
**The specific responsibilities of the is position include**:
- Month end closing and preparation of management accounts
- General ledger entries and data entries
- Completion of accounts receivable and accounts payable procedures
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Preparation and filing of VAT returns
- Liaise with external auditors and advisors in relation to all reporting requirements

Preparation of periodic and annual tax returns for legal persons
.
Preparation of IV Directive financial statements, with related documents;
.
Compilation and printing of VAT registers with related payments;
.
770 simplified forms for withholding taxes on self-employment income, 730, Unico PF, Unico SC, Unico SP;
.
Electronic submissions Entratel (tax returns) and Infocamere (filing of changes, company financial statements, business register practices in general);
.
Other accounting and tax requirements required by the job.
- Providing general accounting assistance including reviewing and analysing detailed financial information
- Complete process and procedures in line with group accounting polices
**Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- A professional accountancy qualification or near completion is preferred
- 3 to 5 years work experience in a finance position
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct would be advantageous
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability
- Attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships with internal departments
- Can work as part of a global team
