Architect 3D Model Designer

To keep that momentum going strong, we're on the hunt for an Architect with 3D Modeling experience using Sketchup to create 3D graphics of architectural buildings for our learning videos and help bring the ideas we're teaching to life.
You Will:
Collaborate with the learning team to produce high-quality 3D assets for video content using SketchUpCoordinate closely with the Art Director and Subject Matter Expert to define asset requirementsEngage in regular storyboarding sessions to visualize learning materials effectivelyParticipate actively in project meetings for progress updates and reviewsRefine assets based on feedback from the Art Director or Production TeamBe proactive in identifying opportunities to use 3D model examples for particular lessonsMaintain rigorously organized SketchUp model files.Stay informed about advancements in graphic design technologies and methodologiesFocus primarily on designing and animating objects and buildings; character modeling and animation skills are not requiredRequirements: Possess 3-5 years of creating 3D graphics and animations using SketchUpYou are a licensed architect or working toward licensure with at least 3 years of experienceYou have experience with commercial projects from start to finish (including bidding, SD, DD, and CA)Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) Previous experience with storyboarding and visualizing complex concepts through designStrong attention to detail, communication skills, and project management abilitiesYou love learning new things: you're excited to dive deep into reference materials and resources to determine the information that is the most pertinent to the exam, and how to present it.Preferred, but not required: you have experience teaching, mentoring, or helping others prepare for the ARE.Familiarity with After Effects and/or Premiere Pro is a plusDemonstrated expertise in 2D design using Illustrator is a plusBenefits: Chicago based, fully remote role3 weeks of paid vacationBlue Cross Blue Shield Health, Dental, Vision, Short-term / Long-term Disability and Life insuranceFlexible Savings Accounts and Health Savings Accounts401k with Employer matchEmployee referral programTeam events & quarterly gatheringsBlack Spectacles is an equal opportunity employer.
