Pfizer is hiring a talented and passionate EHS Officer who will be in charge for the Environmental Management System as part of a dynamic team of experts in Environment, Health & Safety at the Catania (ITALY) Pfizer Global Supply manufacturing site. You should have the ability to coach and mentor colleagues of all organization levels to nurture the Environmental Sustainability culture and ability to design, implement and improve Environmental management system in compliance with applicable Laws, Corporate guidelines, environmental permit (AUA) and ISO standards (14001).
You will be expected to use best available technologies and methodologies to ensure proper management of waste and air/water emissions and maintenance of Site's Environmental Management System as per ISO 14001 certification.
This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Environmental, Health, & Safety.
Key Experience Offer of this RoleEnvironmental Ambassador: You will be leading the conversation to positively influence others on environmental sustainability;You will coach and mentor colleagues of all organization levels.You will focus on Waste management, air/water emission monitoring, environmental accidents prevention, Incident investigation and CAPA, maintenance of EHS Management system and site environmental permit (A.U.A. Autorizzazione Unica Ambientale))You will participate in field auditing/ coaching,Primary Responsibilities Provides technical Environmental guidance to the site to ensure sustainability and compliance with applicable laws, site EH&S standards and Pfizer Recommend Practices.When incidents occur, support the team with the incident investigation to determine root causes and help define / implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Champion the sharing of lessons learned across the site when appropriate.Engaged in capital projects to help ensure design meets our EHS standards and Environmental goals.Engaged in the development and implementation of improved EHS standards to continuously raise the bar for Environmental engagement and program maturity.Works closely with Utilities, Maintenance, Engineering, Project Engineering, Operations, Quality and Technicians to environmental related matters.Regularly conduct inspections/audits/peer reviews. Discuss positive observations and areas for improvement.Participate on Global EHS initiatives and provide subject matter feedback during Global EHS standard reviews, as needed.Perform other EHS and general duties as identified.Responsible for Site EHS Performance and Continuous improvement management embedded in the Site IMEx set upWhat You OfferBasic Qualifications:
Education in technical/scientific or management areas.Demonstrated working knowledge of national regulatory requirements and guidelines associated with Environmental programs.Ability to manage projects, is process minded, and demonstrates the ability to build and execute action plans to ensure alignment in pursuit of organizational deliverables.Demonstrates Initiative, excellent organizational, planning, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to successfully influence and engage with multiple levels of the organization and the proven ability.Competency in Microsoft Office programsAdherence to Pfizer Values: Courage, Excellence, Equity and Joy.
