RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Sustainability & Climate Risk Consultant to join its office in Genoa, Milan or Rome, Italy within the ESG & Sustainability Division.
MissionThe ideal candidate will closely work with players within the industry, R&D, and financial services sectors which are willing to implement their green and ESG strategy. The position will specifically provide technical expertise in ESG & Climate Change related services including but not limited to Climate Change Risk Assessments, Paris Agreement alignment, EU Taxonomy & DNSH, Sustainable Finance/Green Finance/Climate Finance, Sustainability Reporting, Climate Corporate Governance, ESG KPIs & Assessments, ESG & Climate Due Diligence.
Key AccountabilitiesResponsible for the whole project scope of work or for specific project tasks.Assess clients' needs and translate them into designs, equipment, or new systems under the supervision of a consultant.From the initial concept stage through to completion, manage project timelines and oversee all developments.Plan technical solutions and find unique ways to resolve technical issues without affecting the overall completion deadline.Develop project schedules and deliverable timelines.Coordinate and communicate with project groups as needed on major projects in the Business Units.Responsible for the production and performance of assigned projects, under the coordination of the Principal Consultant.Ensure the creation of documents and reports that detail assessments and project planning.Monitor engineering progress against budget and forecasted schedule.Effectively manage multiple projects and conflicting deadlines.Prepare project estimates, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.Support the continued development of more junior team personnel providing technical guidance.Responsible for the development of technical competencies, supporting the Principal Consultant in specific technical development or training personnel.Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMS.Interact with clients and colleagues to achieve project objectives using appropriate technical judgment.Able to discuss and define client requirements, reflecting a clear understanding in well-written technical reports and proposals.Actively support business development activities, building relationships with clients and helping to generate new business.EducationBachelor's Degree in Engineering General
