At Efficient Power Conversion Corp, we are focused on building technology that reduces the power used by every appliance and piece of electronics everyone relies on to live in the modern world. We do this not by improving the electronics but by improving how power gets delivered to them. Roughly 1/3 of power is wasted between the wall socket and the chips in a computer. We aim to cut that in half and then cut it in half again.We are opening a new IC Development Center in Pavia – Italy, to design products to achieve these goals. If you want to be part of a nascent development center building up a new semiconductor development center from scratch while joining the pioneers in GaN technology and taking firsthand ownership in shaping your workplace, then join us in this mission to help keep the world a cooler place.Job Description:As Senior Test Development Engineer, you are involved in the entire project lifecycle and act as a quality gate that every EPC IC product must pass. We will be counting on your support to improve our test methodology continuously. You will be responsible for developing and implementing test solutions for our advanced semiconductor products, bringing new devices from the early design stage to mass production. It is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the success of our organization.In your new role, you will:Contribute to the definition of test development flow leveraging current best practices available in the company.Plan, run, and coordinate test projects ensuring time-to-market schedule performance, guaranteeing result interpretation, data analysis, and documentation.Analyze internal and customer requirements and perform feasibility studies.Define, develop, and optimize production test programs and hardware for automated testing on state-of-the-art ATE (Automated Test Equipment) in close cooperation with the IC design & characterization team, technology development team, and product engineering.Own the complete test solution and related test transfer processes at subcontractors and reliability labs, work on installation, correlation, and production release of test programs, data handling, interpretation of test results, interface to product engineering, and optimization of test package stability.Define innovative and GaN-IC's tailored test strategies and methodologies while developing an in-depth knowledge of the GaN-IC technology capabilities and related challenges.Develop and share knowledge, networking with other experts in the company, mentoring and coaching colleagues and students.Your profile:Being a result-oriented person with a strong problem-solving mindset, open to challenges, and able to work in an unstructured and transforming environment, you aspire to achieve outstanding results with passion, remaining focused on solutions even in complex situations. You also cooperate across boundaries and contribute to a great team atmosphere through open and constructive communication.You are best equipped for this task if you have:A university degree in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Science, Automation, or comparableRelevant professional expertise in semiconductor test business with 5+ years of hands-on experience with ATE platforms from major vendors (Teradyne/Advantest).Experience in high-current mixed-signal IC or power and discrete testingSound test-programming skills and experience programming in C / C++ and script languages for ATE program development.Proven experience in releasing test solutions and knowledge of design for testability and manufacturability practicesAbility to articulate constructively with design, product engineering, operation, and quality teams to ensure all involved players and product requirements understand test design are specified and validated at early stages of development.Good lab skills with hands-on experience in making bench-level electrical measurements using signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and curve tracers.Experience in PCB hardware design, schematic entry, layout, bill of materials, vendor selection, assembly, and troubleshooting. Experience with high-voltage design is a plus.Proficient in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and software like Altium or similarKnowledge of statistical process control techniques, data analysis, and related reportingExperience handling chip scale packages, pogo pins contactors, multi-pass wafer level testing, and high current transients will be a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English to collaborate with international and cross-cultural teams globally.
