Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Location: Rozzano, IT, 20089Contract Type: PermanentDivision: Infrastructure & Mobility Research & InnovationLevel of experience: JuniorRINA is currently recruiting for a Infrastructure Research & Innovation Consultant to join its office in Milan, Italy within the Infrastructure & Mobility Research & Innovation Division.Mission RINA is looking for a Consultant in Research & Innovation, to be based in our offices in Rozzano, Italy.The candidate will refer to the Research & Innovation Unit of the Infrastructures & Mobility Business Unit and will have strong interactions with other homologous functions across the different Business Lines in RINA.The selected candidate will join a young and dynamic environment, in which research and innovation is a cornerstone of the overall development strategy. As such he/she will have the opportunity to provide a relevant contribution to the development of R&I strategies and activities as well as to impact the development of new offering and businesses of the Business Unit. He/she will have the opportunity to increase his/her professional and personal skills and competences, building on the hands-on experience in multidisciplinary projects and acting as technical focal point for his/her own areas of expertise.Key Accountabilities A) To contribute to the performance of the Research & Innovation Unit in terms of new opportunities creation, in the area of Transport & Mobility , specifically by:Maintaining the current network and partnersNetworking to identify prospect partners to be engaged in R&I activitiesIdentifying the most likely R&I opportunitiesScouting of partners and callsCreating proposal ideas and concepts, proposal writingB) To contribute to the performance of the Research & Innovation Unit in terms of Project Management in R&I projects in the area of Transport & Mobility, specifically by:Coordinating the RINA team involved in the R&I projectEnsuring the timely submission of deliverables, according to RINA quality standardsAutonomy in work planning and decision makingCooperating with the colleagues of the BU and of the other Bus involved in the technical activitiesCoordinating the transfer of the R&I results to the OU of the BU Infrastructure, so that to improve and boost the service offering of the BUC) To contribute to the performance of the Research & Innovation Unit, by developing innovation activities in the topic of Transport & Mobility, including but not limited to new mobility patterns, new logistics concepts and services, technological advancement in rail and mass-transit transports, etc., by:Mapping of internal competencesIdentifying innovation (and business related) opportunitiesDefining of new/improved services and supporting the BU to transfer to the market these innovative or improved servicesParticipating to proposals/offering both at national and international level dealing with innovation or where innovative approaches, solutions, concepts might lead to a competitive advantage for the Business.#LI-AU5Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering GeneralQualifications A previous experience in management of R&I Projects will be considered as a plus;Fluency in noth written and spoken English:Master's Degree in Engineering.MAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraintADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective wayMANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactionsCLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfactionEARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversityPROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role ModelTHINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the futurePIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstancesBUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organizationWith over 5,600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries worldwide, RINA is a multinational player which provides certification, marine classification, product testing, site supervision and vendor inspection, training and engineering consultancy services across a wide range of sectors.
