Mission
The Environment & Climate Change Unit of RINA is looking for a Carbon Reduction Engineer – Sustainability Specialist who will support players of the energy, industrial and services sector in the quantification of their GHG emissions and in the identification of decarbonization, energy efficiency and energy transition action plans, both at corporate and at product level.
Key Accountabilities Assist clients in the development and implementation of projects related to quantification and reduction of GHG emissions and climate change mitigation.Support the execution of energy audits, energy efficiency assessments, carbon footprints/life cycle analyses, literature reviews on energy transition topics.Follow up evolving regulatory requirements relating to CO2 emissions and energy transition.Work in International, EU and R&D projects.Meeting with clients, needs analysis and collaboration/coordination with technical teams.Drafting and preparation of technical proposals.Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in technical activities related to at least one of the following sectors: GHG emissions, energy efficiency, energy transition, climate change.Passion and interest in learning and giving contribution in the decarbonization field.Ability to write well-structured and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documents will be considered a plus.Very good level of English, both spoken and written.Knowledge of additional languages will be considered a plus.Availability for short business trips within and outside EU.Competencies CLIENT INTIMACY - Embrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfaction.EARN TRUST - Take everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversity.PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role Model.MANAGE EMOTIONS - Recognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactions.PIONEER CHANGE - Actively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstances.BUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organization.MAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraints.ADDRESS THE WAY - Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective way.THINK FORWARD - Capitalise on experiences and translate them into action plans for the future.Education
Master Degree in Engineering, preferably Energy Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
