As a Development Chemist, you will be accountable for the development of new global product platforms for the Water Borne general Industry.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Analyze and interpret experimental results effectively to the development of new and improved product platforms.
- Work closely with regional labs to understand their needs and how to incorporate these needs into new product platforms.
- Work in conjunction with R&D and/or other functions located around the globe on the development of new product platforms.
- Maintain and grow an understanding of general industry coating processes, including details of key customer lines and use this information to inform the research and development of robust coating platforms.
- Develop new test methods that will help to accelerate the assessment of new coatings and simulate customer line conditions to increase the speed and success rate of product launches.
- Build and maintain a network with commercial and technical teams in all regions to communicate progress on projects and understand future needs.
- Maintain and communicate results through written and verbal summaries, coatings reports and gate review updates
**Qualifications**:
- M.S.
with 3+ years of relevant formulation learning experience and polymers technology
- Demonstrated history of innovative thinking, generating and communicating new concepts.
- Ability to manage complex technical projects with multiple partners
- Proven track record with experimental design (DOE)
- English: Full professional proficiency
- Flexibility to travel up to 10%.
