Job Vacancy: Senior On Prem Migration Architect Location: 100% Remote oroffice (Krakw) Contract: B2B FullTime Company Overview: Kolomolo is a globally recognized tech enterprise dedicated to delivering stateoftheart digital solutions.
As we expand our operations we are on the lookout for Senior On Prem Migration Architect Roles & Responsibilities: The role: To plan design and execute hot migration an existing DC setup (twin failover DCs) to latest hardware specification.
The role includes the coordination of the migration of 200 applications into the new infrastructure.
This is a Senior role: a minimum 10 years of experience.
Responsibilities include : Datacenter Design: Develop comprehensive architectural designs for hardware migration to latest servers ensuring scalability efficiency and security.
Estimate power cooling etc.
Infrastructure Planning: Assess current infrastructure and recommend improvements or new technologies to enhance performance and reliability System Migration: Plan and execute the migration of onpremises systems to new datacenter configuration minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs and migrations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Documentation: Create detailed documentation for all architectural designs migration plans and processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams vendors and other stakeholders to align datacenter strategies with business and technical To hot migrate an existing DC setup (twin failover DCs) to latest hardware.
To configure DC virtual architecture based on VMware running on Dell R660 and R250 Servers EMC Powerstore storage Connectrix DS switches Fortigate 400 series threat protection Design network architecture setting and cabling systems Prepare and coordinate team for migration of around 200 applications running on a Windows and Linux servers.
Work with Senior stakeholders on timelines and planning Qualifications and skills: More than 10 years experience in a DC and application migration projects for global organizations Fluency in English language (Min C1).
Willing to work flexible hours Monday to Friday.During switch over phase may be evenings and weekends Willingness to travel to multiple countries (10% of time) Should have very good knowledge of VMWare Network configuration and DC architectures Ability to work under time constraints multitask and meet deadlines.
Should be a leader & able to work collaboratively with onsite and offshore teams.
Excellent Verbal and written Communication skills.
