The IT Security Architect is accountable for planning, studying and designing a resistant security architecture for various IT projects.
In addition the role makes proposals on how to adapt the current IT/OT architecture in context of IT security.
The job role demands a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and services and continuously stays up to date with the latest security and quality standards and technical measures.
The role involves definition and documentation on the implementation of a new security systems or new interfaces between systems and an impact analysis of the security posture of the current environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop/integrate cybersecurity designs for systems and networks with multilevel security requirements.
- Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and develop security risk mitigation action plan.
- Evaluate (security) architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed or provided in response to requirements
- Determine the protection needs (i.e., security controls) for the information system(s) and network(s) and document appropriately.
- Research and implement updated security standards, systems, and best practices to create reliable cloud security architectures
- Assess and ensure conformance to security concepts and functions (e.g., authentication/audit enforcement, data anonymization, SSL security, API security, REST/JSON processing, microservices, Infrastructure as a code and containers).
Key requirements:
- Bachelor / Master within Computer Science / Cyber Security or similar experience
- Analytical skills
- Experience with Project methodology
- Good understanding of time management
- Effective collaboration, communication, presentation and moderation skills
