During the operational lifetime of more than 30,000 installations, we ensure cost-efficient delivery of services, upgrades and spare parts in order to secure availability and predictability to our customers.The positionAn exciting opportunity has arisen as Field Service Engineer – Control Systems.
In this role, you will be a part of the Global Customer Support's Service Delivery Team, and report to the Operations Manager.
You will be responsible for performing installation and commissioning activities of Kongsberg's Propulsion & Handling control systems on our customers' vessels and at major shipyards around the world, as well as providing in-house technical support to our customers.

If you can identify yourself with our values determined, innovative, collaborative, reliable and consider yourself highly motivated for worldwide support activities, then you are the candidate we are looking for.Key accountabilitiesInspection, upgrade and troubleshooting of propulsion control products in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.Support handling technical inquiries together with Technical Support & Engineering department.Continuous improvement and development of the process related to the installation/commissioning/start up.Documentation and reporting.Qualifications and experienceSolid electronic background.Previous experience on electrical and electronic systems and related systems of marine engine command and control is considered a plus.General good computer skills.Proficient written and oral skills in English.Ready and motivated for world-wide support activities.Knowledge of and experience with Kongsberg Maritime products is an advantage.You are able toAct on own initiative, make things happen and accept responsibility for the results.Adhere to company rules and procedures and execute plans with commitment and determination.Demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise in own area.Communicate in a clear, precise and structured way.Analyze complex issues and problems and come up with proper solutions.What we can offer youWith us, you will be offered a competitive salary and benefit packages with good development opportunities in an international environment.
