With a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability, we are continuously growing and looking for talented individuals to join our dynamic team.An R&D Electrical Designer combines expertise in both electrical engineering and software development to innovate and improve our packaging machines.Key responsibilities:Design electrical systems and software applications of tissue packaging machines for R&D projects using programmable logic controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications.Support the standard machine team.Develop and implement software to control electrical systems.Work with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with other offices involved in R&D project management such as technical designers and Customer Service Technical Office to ensure product alignment with market needs.Provide technical guidance and mentoring.To succeed in this role, you should have:Degree in Automation or Electronics Engineering.Proven experience of at least 5 years in the role and in an automation industrial company.Excellent knowledge of hardware components of packaging machines.Knowledge of PLC, HMI, electrical cams.Strong organizational and planning skills.Problem-solving and communication skills.Customer-focused and detail-oriented.Italian and English language proficiency, both written and oral.Strong understanding of electrical systems and software development principles.Alignment with Valmet's values.What we offer:Work in a global organization with international customers and colleagues, dynamic and modern work environment.Be part of an organization committed to innovation and excellence.Onboarding plan.Huge learning catalog.Flexible working time.Smart working.Safety culture.Annual performance review.Internal canteen free of charge.Additional information:If you are interested in becoming part of the Valmet team in Lucca, please send your application as soon as possible but the latest by December 15, 2024 - we are eagerly waiting for your application
