Feel the Olympic and Paralympic energy joining us at Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, leaving a mark in the sport historyBREAK THE ICEFondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.We are driven by the following values: respect, determination, legacy, engagement and sustainability.Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.PositionThe Event Services Ceremonies and Non-Competition venues Lead Planner will be the Team Member mostly focused on the Event Services operations at the opening and closing ceremonies venues for both Olympics and Paralympics.The person on this position would be focused on working within the Event Services Ceremonies Team to plan EVS operations, participate in Ceremonies venues operations planning, plan EVS resources, including workforce, and be part of the delivery of the plan during the operations, readiness and testing phases.This role works in close collaboration with the EVS Operations Department, both with the Competition and the Non-Competition Clusters because of the many interdependencies and, mostly, tomake sure to use the same operational parameters and to guarantee the same level of service to all Stakeholders.This role also works as a part of Ceremonies venues team together with the representatives of other FAs.The Event Services and Non-Competition venues Ceremonies Lead Planner will also support, based on specific needs, the operational planning of other Non-Competition venues.He/She will:Support the Event Services Ceremonies Team in working with other Departments, within the Organizing Committee, to design the operational plans for all four different Ceremony sites spread across different territories.
In addition to that, these plans will have to be fully integrated and aligned with what required by local regulations and/or external entities or partners such as local authorities, local event delivery entities, etc.
;Participate in the work with the Venues Event Management Team and the Ceremonies Team, guarantee the EVS presence and support, not only in terms of spectators' management, but also with Athletes Parade and Participation Kit distribution.
Or any other form of collaboration needed or that should arise based on the nature of the Ceremonies;Build solid and collaborative relationships with other Functional Areas in charge to plan and deliver the Ceremonies for the Organizing Committee;Provide regular updates and, where needed, escalate operational risks and issues to the Event Services Ceremonies and Non-Competition Venues Manager;Plan for the right type and quantities of resources needed to implement the EVS Ceremonies operational plan;Support the work with Master Schedule tasks related to the Ceremonies plan and monitor their status of accomplishment.
Track risks and issues and report to Central Management;Participate in regular Event Services update meetings both within the EVS Ceremonies Team and within the larger EVS Group;Work in close collaboration with the Event Services Workforce team to establish the most suitable and efficient staffing allocation plan based on the available resources;Support both the EVS Operations and EVS Staffing/Training Teams as needed;Represent effectively and respectably EVS at meetings as required;Support Event Services Ceremonies and Non-Competition Venues Manager as needed;Other assignments as required during both the planning and the operational phase.RequirementsExperience of Olympic Games planning and operations desirable;Operations Management experience in large-scale events, productions, or venues;Proven ability to effectively and efficiently work with a high number of stakeholders and reconcile different needs;Project management skills;Ability to work in a very fast paced environment with numerous and tight deadlines;Understanding of the wide range of implications that planning assumptions can have on the whole project;Ability to keep a clear line of communication within the Event Services Team and with all other Functional Areas and Stakeholders;Ability to identify priorities and work towards their accomplishment;Ability to build project teams consisting of various workforce including volunteers;Ability to present and report in groups or official occasions;Highly detail oriented;Ability to understand the overall operational impact of EVS (and others') decisions;Ability to maintain grace under pressure;Negotiation and diplomacy skills;Fluent English is mandatory;Italian is desirable;Microsoft Suite.Other informationFondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is committed in building an inclusive and diversified working environment, striving to guarantee equal opportunities for all workers (L.903/77) and promote the integration into its workforce of persons with disabilities (L.68/99).
