```html Job Description For our European Engineering team, we're looking for a Melting Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering all mechanical systems required to run our furnaces (both heritage furnaces and the newest GOAT ones). This means furnace combustion, furnace air and water cooling, batch charging, and other furnace-related topics will be your core areas of responsibility. While you'll be based in Italy, when assigned to projects, you will travel all across Europe to support our plants in their upgrade and revamp activities. Your first assignment will be in Alloa, Scotland: you will work with your team in the upgrade project of the plant, leading the installation phase and assisting in the start-up of production. Besides this and future project assignments, you will also contribute to the company technical standards definition and ensure their application. General Areas of Responsibility Working with our Global Engineering teams and with each of our European Country Groups' engineers to develop fit for purpose scope and business proposals. Troubleshooting and maintenance after project activities to optimize ownership between plants, Operations, EU Melting, Melting strategy, or suppliers. Specific Projects Responsibilities Provide technical solutions/cost estimates for proper business decisions of projects assigned. Engineering and design of mechanical systems. Provide proper field/onsite assistance throughout construction, equipment checkout, heat-up, and ramp-up. Close out project deliverables (including as-builts and Windchill database documentation). "Lessons learned" follow-up exchange with project teams and all other business touchpoints. Assurance of succession planning and continuous improvement areas of staff. Qualifications Master Degree or equivalent work experience in Manufacturing companies or Engineering firms. At least three years of experience in manufacturing or engineering roles. Ability to read and understand facility engineering drawings. Your CEFR level for both Italian and English is at least B2 (any other language is a plus). Good communication style and a cooperative approach to problem solving. Strong decision maker. Additional Information Your travel time in Italy and Europe will vary based on the status of your projects; on average, consider a minimum of 30% of your time spent onsite in different plants across Europe. Occasionally, activities and meetings that require your presence will be in our Italian HQ in Origgio (Varese); your home office could be set anywhere in Italy as long as it's reasonably close to an international airport. ``` #J-18808-Ljbffr
