Reporting to our Head of Financial Statements Accounting, the candidate will be responsible for the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial statements for our Italian company. This role involves ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations, managing the financial close process and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. If you're ready to drive change, join usKey responsibilities:The new Accounting Financial Statement Manager, after an initial onboarding period, supported by a team of 8 members (Administrative Services, Financial Statement and Accounting) will be mainly responsible for the following tasks:Financial Statement Preparation:Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with Italian GAAP and IFRS.Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards in Italy.Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and ensure the company's accounting practices comply with these changes.Financial Close Process:Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.Audit Coordination:Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes.Provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.Financial Analysis:Perform financial analysis to provide insights into the financial performance of the Italian operations.Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting process.Leverage technology and best practices to streamline accounting operations.Collaboration:Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business initiatives.Collaborate with the global finance team to align local practices with global standards.Qualifications required:Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably within a multinational Italian company.Experience with financial close processes and internal controls. The candidate must be autonomous in closing financial statements in Italy, possessing the technical knowledge and understanding of the related processes. Strong knowledge of OIC and IFRS, with a deep understanding of both Italian and international accounting principles.Proficient in SAP and familiar with financial consolidation systems.
